When the Bob Mueller family considered how to make a lasting impact on education, the answer was clear: STEM. With a deep passion for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, the Mueller family partnered with the Valle Catholic Schools Foundation to provide opportunities for the next generation at Valle Catholic.

The generous donation has already sparked incredible growth and passion in STEM-related subjects for students of all ages, including several exciting new clubs.

What’s happening at Valle Catholic Schools?

  • Pickle Club: Fifth-grade girls dive into hydroponics, learning how to grow cucumbers and eventually make pickles! This student-led club, advised by Principal Dr. Giasi, is a fantastic example of hands-on learning and teamwork.
  • STEM Club: Sixth-Eighth grade students are mastering the engineering design process, from designing museum display cases to coding drones. They even created a drone show set to their own music for STEM week!
  • K-5 Exploratory: Even the youngest students are getting involved with coding activities using Code.org, thanks to the efforts of Valle faculty member, Lexy Allen.

Dr. Giasi and the dedicated Valle faculty have been instrumental in bringing these clubs to life. The Bob Mueller family’s gift is not just a donation; it’s an investment in the future, empowering students to explore their STEM interests and potentially become the next generation of STEM innovators..
